Using the Lego smart package sent to my 3rd grade students we utilized the blocks to create patterns using colors, shapes, and sizes. We also connected the blocks to create 3D shapes such as squares, rectangles, parallelograms, hexagons, octagons. We also used the blocks to reflect symmetrical figures.
